Peer Review Policy

The Indus Journal of Medical and Health Sciences (IJMHS) follows a Triple-blind peer review process, where the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This is done to ensure that the reviewers provide unbiased and objective assessments of the manuscripts.

The peer review process for IJMHS is as follows:

1. The manuscript is first screened by the editors to ensure that it is within the scope of the journal and meets the submission guidelines.
2. If the manuscript is accepted for peer review, it is assigned to two or three reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
3. The reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript for its originality, significance, and methodological soundness. They are also asked to provide feedback on the clarity of writing and the overall presentation of the manuscript.
4. The editors make a decision on the manuscript based on the reviewers' reports. Possible decisions include:
   • Accept, with or without minor revisions
   • Accept, with major revisions
   • Reject
   • Reject with the possibility of resubmission after major revisions

The peer review process for IJMHS is typically completed within 6-8 weeks.

In addition to the double-blind peer review process, IJS also has a number of other policies in place to ensure the quality of its publications. These include:

• A plagiarism check is performed on all manuscripts before they are accepted for peer review.
• The editors have the right to reject any manuscript that they deem to be of poor quality or that does not meet the journal's standards.
• Authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest that they may have with the research reported in their manuscript.
