Policy for Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern

1. Guiding Principles

IJMHS follows COPE guidelines to maintain the scholarly record's integrity with transparency and fairness.

2. Reporting and Initial Assessment

  • Concerns should be reported to ijmhs@induspublishers.com.

  • Preliminary assessment by the Editor-in-Chief occurs within 7 business days.

3. Correction Policy (Erratum)

  • Issued for minor errors not affecting conclusions.

  • Published as a standalone, linked notice within 30 days of confirmation.

4. Retraction Policy

  • Issued for unreliable findings, misconduct, plagiarism, unethical research, or major errors.

  • Involves investigation, editorial board vote, and publication of a detailed notice.

  • The original article is watermarked "RETRACTED" but remains accessible.

5. Expression of Concern Policy

  • Issued when serious concerns exist but evidence is inconclusive or investigation is ongoing.

  • Published promptly to alert readers.

6. Appeals Process

  • Authors may appeal decisions in writing within 30 days to ijmhs@induspublishers.com.

  • Reviewed by an independent Appeals Committee.

7. Communication

  • All notices are published and indexed.

  • Relevant stakeholders (indexing services, institutions) are notified.

8. Record Keeping

  • Detailed, confidential records are maintained for 10 years.
