This study examines the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on teacher professional development, focusing on its role in enhancing teaching skills, lesson planning, and access to online resources for continuous learning. The integration of ICT in education has transformed teaching methodologies, enabling educators to engage in self-paced learning, collaborate with peers, and improve instructional strategies. However, the extent to which ICT contributes to teachers’ professional growth, particularly in developing regions, remains underexplored. To address this gap, a quantitative survey was conducted among school and college teachers in Larkana, Pakistan. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data on ICT utilization, professional growth, and associated challenges, and statistical analysis was performed to assess the relationship between ICT adoption and teacher development. The findings indicate that teachers who actively use ICT tools experience significant improvements in instructional effectiveness, lesson planning, and professional competencies. However, challenges such as inadequate training, limited access to resources, and institutional barriers hinder full ICT integration. The study highlights that while ICT has the potential to enhance professional development, its effectiveness depends on the availability of proper training and institutional support. It is recommended that educational institutions invest in ICT training programs, digital infrastructure, and policy reforms to ensure successful adoption. By addressing these challenges, teachers can fully leverage ICT for professional growth, ultimately improving teaching quality and student learning outcomes. This study contributes to the growing body of research on educational technology and emphasizes the need for structured interventions to maximize ICT's benefits in teacher development.
