Geo-Temporal Profiling of Family Homciders in Tehsil Shorkot, District Jhang (Punjab) Pakistan

It is misfortune for human beings that crime is as old as the humans on this earth as an inevitable event in all types and classes of every society. Now, with the evolutionary stages of life, this phenomenon has been aggravated as a socio-economic event due to population explosion and very rapid generation of economic activities. So, a descriptive study of geographical profiling of Family homicider is conducted for a small historical city of Punjab, Pakistan named Shorkot. In this paper, Family homicider profiling is geo-temporally investigated under a descriptive research in mode of quantitative as well as qualitative data of secondary nature. The said data is collected from police stations of district Jhang record for last 10 years (2014-2023) and statistically analyzed by applying the Regression and Pearson Correlation Method. The results are found as, middle and lower middle class particularly indulge with zamindari culture are predominantly involved in events of family homicide. The research outcome will grant very useful insights for the readers, policy makers and the public as a fundamental slogan that war on poverty and other socio-economic problems can only be carried out by war on crimes.
