Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Here are the author guidelines for the Indus Journal of Bioscience Research (IJBR):

  • Manuscript Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted online through the IJBR website. The submission process is simple and straightforward.
  • Article Types: The IJBR publishes original research articles, reviews, and short communications.
  • Article Length: Original research articles should be no more than 6,000 words, including figures and tables. Reviews should be no more than 8,000 words, and short communications should be no more than 2,000 words.
  • Formatting Guidelines: The IJBR uses the CSE (Council of Science Editors) style guide. Please see the IJBR website for more information on formatting guidelines.
  • Plagiarism: All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. Any manuscript found to be plagiarized will be rejected.
  • Peer Review: All manuscripts are peer-reviewed by experts in the field. The peer-review process is double-blind, which means that the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
  • Publication Timeline: The IJBR publishes articles on a quarterly basis. The average time from submission to publication is 6-8 weeks.
